Every bored·george frame is designed in New Zealand and built to last. Our warranty covers manufacturing faults only - that is, defects in materials or workmanship present at the time your eyewear was made.
Your frames are covered by a 1 year warranty (12 months from the date of purchase) against manufacturing faults.
Outlet sunglasses, including seconds and samples, are covered by a 2 month warranty from the date of purchase.
What is covered
Your warranty covers genuine manufacturing faults. If your frames or lenses are affected by a manufacturing fault within the applicable period, we'll repair or replace them free of charge. Please note this does not include scratched lenses or damage caused by general use.
What is not covered
The warranty does not cover damage or faults that fall outside of a manufacturing defect, including but not limited to:
- General wear and tear from everyday use
- Accidental damage, impact, or breakage (for example, snapped hinges or arms, or scratched or cracked lenses caused by drops or pressure)
- Damage caused by misuse, improper storage, or failure to follow care instructions
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect the function of your eyewear
- Loss or theft
To submit a warranty claim, please use our warranty claim portal.
Our team will assess your claim and, where a manufacturing fault is confirmed, arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. Claims that are found to be the result of wear and tear or accidental damage will not be approved under warranty.

Because prescription and blue light lenses are made to order just for you, they're covered a little differently to frames. Should there be any issue with your prescription or blue light lenses, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll be happy to put it right. Your frames remain covered by the 1 year manufacturing warranty above.
