How to self-adjust your sunglasses

There’s an easy way to adjust your sunglasses at home! While we typically handle adjustments in-house, if you're confident, feel free to give it a go.

Inside the temples (arms) of your sunnies, there's a core rod wire that allows for minor adjustments. Here’s how to do it safely:

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Support the hinge – Hold the sunglasses firmly at the logo on the temple (arm) to avoid putting pressure on the hinge.
  2. Adjust the fit – With your other hand, hold the end of the temple (by the tip) and gently bend it inward or outward as needed. The material is durable, so don’t be afraid to apply slight pressure.

What if my sunglasses are damaged?

At Bored George, quality is our top priority. Every pair of our sunglasses goes through a rigorous triple-check process: once by the manufacturer, once upon arrival in New Zealand, and once more before being sent to you.

We take pride in our products and stand behind their craftsmanship by offering a 1 year warranty on all sunglasses. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects or craftsmanship issues from the date of purchase.

Please note that the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, such as scratched or damaged lenses, or those moments when you accidentally sit on them (we’ve all been there!).

Head to our current stockist list here. We're transitioning to a mostly online model, so only a limited number of stockists remain.
Can I Put Prescription Lenses in Bored George Sunglasses?

We now offer an online prescription service. Head to the Prescription Sunglasses tab and follow the steps - you'll be asked to upload your prescription (script). Your lenses are made to your exact script in Australia and sent straight to your door.
When will my pre-order arrive?

Each pre-order has an estimated arrival timeframe listed in the product title and on the product page. Please make sure you check this information before purchasing, as arrival dates can vary between products.

Please note: if your order includes a pre-order item and an item that is currently in stock, your entire order will be shipped together once the pre-order item becomes available.
How do I know if a pair of sunglasses will fit my face?

Are Bored George sunglasses polarised?

All Bored George sunglasses come with polarised lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection and category 3 UV protection. All sunglasses comply with NZ/AU standards.
