Description
Gigi Chocolate | Jess Owen x Bored George, Limited Edition
You know the Gigi Mocha, the sleek oval that’s quickly become one of our top sellers? Now it has a sister. Meet Gigi Chocolate, a limited-edition colourway designed with our friend (and resident baking queen) Jess Owen. It’s the same elongated oval frame you already love, now in a rich chocolate with a glossy finish. It’s deep, solid colour all the way through, and just a little bit indulgent.
Designed in New Zealand. Built to last. Worn everywhere, from morning coffee runs to long summer days.
Why you’ll love the Gigi Chocolate
- Rich, opaque chocolate frame with a glossy finish, a bolder, deeper take on the Gigi Mocha
- Limited edition, designed in collaboration with Jess Owen
- Sleek elongated oval silhouette with a modern edge, flattering on almost every face shape
- Polarised UV400 lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection to reduce glare and eye strain
- Category 3 UV protection, perfect for driving, beach days and high-glare environments
- Premium acetate frames, a plant-based material derived from tree pulp and cotton, and a sustainable alternative to plastic
- Lightweight yet bold, the perfect balance between statement and wearability
- Complies with New Zealand and Australian sunglasses standards (AS/NZS 1067)
- Designed in New Zealand by a small, women-led team
A collab baked with love 🤎
Over years of working together, our relationship with Jess turned into a genuine friendship. She’s been one of our most dedicated customers, our loudest cheerleader and a true ambassador for the brand, so it was only a matter of time before we made something together.
It all started with a mutual obsession with the Gigi Mocha. Jess has worn hers more times than we can count, but we wanted to create something with a little more Jess in it. And with her being quite literally the queen of baking, a rich, chocolatey colourway felt like the obvious answer. So we took the Gigi you already know and love and gave it a delicious little twist.
“I basically only wear BGs these days. You would have seen me in my Gigis many, many times (my fave design!), so we decided to create a limited-edition Chocolate edition and I’m obsessed with them.” — Jess
Our sweetest collaboration yet, made with a whole lot of love (and a serious appreciation for chocolate).
